RESTORING OUR Art Deco Ceilings
Project anticipated to be complete by May 31, 2023
In January 2023, The Durham Museum began the second phase of a project to restore Union Station’s ornate Art Deco ceilings. To complete this work, scaffolding and protected walkways are being erected in the West End and Great Hall in three phases, each lasting from four to six weeks.
While entrances and walkways through the museum will change during this time, the museum will remain open throughout the project.
As the project progresses, we’ll post updates. Bookmark this page to stay up-to-date with the project’s progress, or follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
Check out our helpful FAQs page for details on areas being impacted, timelines and more.
The museum has a fund designated to support the ongoing care of Omaha’s Union Station and the museum housed within its walls. If you are interested in supporting projects like these, you can donate online or by calling the museum at 402-444-5071.
