Come Out of the Cold for Winter Camp!
Beat the boredom of winter break by spending it at The Durham Museum! This year we are offering six individual days of camp. Sign up for individual days or get a discount when you sign up for all six! Each day will be full of adventure, crafts and creativity. New projects will start and end each day of camp, so campers who only do one day will get a full experience.

Winter Camp themes

MIND CRAFT: A MINECRAFT CAMPCamp offered on three days: December 22-23 & 26Join us for one, two or three days of Minecraft Mania! These days will be filled with tours of our building including Minecraft connections to architecture, mining and goldrush, and pioneer travel. We will build winter villages out of LEGO bricks, design our own Minecraft stickers and create bricks out of clay. Campers will also get the opportunity to learn about the tradition of the Union Station Christmas tree, as well as the history of other holidays around the world. |

ALL ABOARD THE POLAR DURHAM EXPRESSCamp offered on three days: December 29-30 & January 2Trains and cozy winter traditions? Count us in! These three days will include tours of our steam engine, caboose, Pullman car, lounge car and model trains. Durham educators will guide campers through fun activities including a snowy forest diorama, a pinecone snowman, a hot chocolate mug and much more! Campers will also learn about the tradition of the Union Station Christmas tree, and the history of other holidays around the world. A chance to cozy up and play historic games in our replica log cabin while it is decorated for the holidays will round out these fun-filled days. |

“BEYOND THE CAMP” EXPERIENCE
To help fit busy schedules, before and after care is available (7:30-9AM / 4-5:30PM). During our “Beyond the Camp” experience, campers can play games, draw, read or participate in other activities supervised by camp staff.

Age Groups: K-5th
Please note, these are the grade levels your child is currently in.
2025-26 Camp Schedule: December 22-23 & 26; and December 29-30 & January 2
Camp Hours: 9AM-4PM
A supervised lunch hour is provided for all campers, and lunches can be brought from home or ordered from the museum before camp begins each day for $7 per camper.
Beyond the Camp Experience: Early drop-off at 7:30AM • Late pick-up at 5:30PM
Cancellation Policy
Full refunds will be granted for cancellations requested two weeks in advance. Refunds will also be granted for campers with positive COVID-19 tests or confirmed direct exposures.
Health and Safety Protocols
Our goal is to provide a safe and worry-free environment for our campers and their families. Health and safety protocols will be implemented according to local, state, and federal guidelines which we will continue to monitor throughout the season. If you have any questions regarding our COVID-19 safety policies and procedures, please contact the Education Services Department using education@DurhamMuseum.org.
