Internships
The Durham Museum’s internship program offers students skill building experience accompanied by solid academic theory. Each student’s experience consists of four modules of learning – three are hands-on projects, the fourth consists of readings/lecture/field trips drawn from the graduate work and career experiences of Durham staff members. Projects are assigned based on the student’s place in school, career and academic interests (if possible), and annual department goals. Each student is given a list of project benchmarks he or she is expected to complete by the end of the semester. There is also opportunity for evaluation – both at the mid-term and at the end of the internship. For more information, please call Becky Putzer at (402) 444-5071 x549 or email bputzer@durhammuseum.org.
