Once you complete your purchase of a gift membership, we will mail the recipient their permanent Durham membership card in 7-10 days.

Which gift GIVING option is for you?

Gift Card
  • Not activated immediately… the card must be “redeemed” at The Durham Museum front desk (or by phone), at which point the membership will be activated.
  • Gift card can be sent to either purchaser or recipient of gift, whichever is preferred.
  • This convenient option allows the recipient to decide when they want to activate their membership.
Gift Membership
  • Activated immediately at time of purchase.
  • An active membership card and acknowledgement letter is sent to either the purchaser or gift recipient, whichever is preferred.
  • Can start using the membership immediately.
  • If you are renewing a membership for a current member of the museum, this is the option we recommend.
