Durham Museum asks Local Teachers to Help Celebration of National Nano Day
The Durham Museum is asking area teachers to help us celebrate the opening of our fall exhibition, Zoom Into Nano, by participating in our “Nanometer Challenge” on National Nanotechnology Day; Monday, October 9, 2017. Teachers and students are asked to come up with a creative way to represent one-hundred billion nanometers (one-hundred billion nanometers=one hundred meters). Ideas include running a one-hundred billion nanometer dash or creating a human chain one-hundred billion nanometers long. The more creative the better! Snap a picture or take a video and follow the instructions below and you could win a $250 Visa Gift Card for your classroom or school.
Contest Rules:
Let us know you’re participating! Register by sending an email to education@DurhamMuseum.org. Include your name, your school, your email address and a social media handle you are using to participate. Registration by Friday, October 6 is strongly encouraged.
