Calling all ghouls and witches 21 and over! Join us for Durham After Dark, an adults-only night at the museum. Sip a “Boo-zy” tasting with Kinkaider Brewing Company and discover the Nebraska cryptids that inspired their names. Get a free tarot reading from Midwest Mystics, shop local vintage vendors, and hear eerie Nebraska legends brought to life by Nebraska Story Arts. There’s also rarely seen objects from deep in The Durham’s collections on display for one night only. You’ll have full access to the museum including our two newest exhibitions,  HOCKEY: Faster than Ever and Woven with History: Timeless Textiles from the Ak-Sar-Ben Collection. Costumes are welcome but not required. One drink ticket and popcorn bar included with admission.

The Great HALL-oween Haunt
Tuesday, October 24, 5–8PM • Advanced Tickets Encouraged
Join The Durham Museum and other community organizations including Fontenelle Forest, NE SciFest, Omaha Children’s Museum, PACE Arts and The Rose Theater for trick-or-treating fun! Come in costume and snag sweets from historical characters and spooktacular displays located throughout the museum. Then try your hand at ghostly games and creepy crafts in the Swanson “Ghoulery.” Don’t forget to check out our spooky, but not scary,  Haunted Train and “crawl” your way through the Cobweb Caboose! Stop by our historic Soda Fountain to indulge in some extra sweet Halloween treats, available for purchase. Plus a crowd-favorite, the dancing zombies from UNO’s The Moving Company are back by popular demand!

Advanced tickets are encouraged due to the popularity of this event. Walk-up tickets will be available the day of the event, if space allows. Purchase tickets at DurhamMuseum.org/halloween or by calling the museum at 402-444-5071. Please note, the museum will close at 4PM and reopen at 5PM for The Great HALL-oween Haunt.
