Volunteers Needed to Judge Annual Omaha District History Day Competition

Each year students involved in the Omaha District History Day Competition immerse themselves in research to create documentaries, exhibits, performances, historical papers or websites exploring historical topics. Volunteers are a vital part of making the competition happen and The Durham Museum is looking for volunteer judges.

As a volunteer judge you will:
• Review entries
• Evaluate the work of young researchers
• Provide written feedback to students about their projects
• Select projects to advance to state competition
• Help make history fun for these Omaha area students!

In return for your time and effort, we offer:
• Free parking
• A light breakfast and a lunch
• Endless gratitude

While typical judges include historians, teachers and librarians anyone who wants to support students in this exciting learning experience may judge as no specific history knowledge is required. The competition is February 26-27 at The Durham Museum. Volunteer for one day or both! All volunteers must be available from 8AM-2PM. Interested? Contact our Education Department at 402-444-5027 or email education@DurhamMuseum.org.
