The Durham Museum Helps Families Ring in the New Year

The Durham Museum will not host its annual Noon Year’s Eve event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, guests to the museum on December 31 will receive the ultimate party-in-a-bag to safely celebrate New Year’s at home. Bags include a noise maker, bubble wrap, a party hat, balloons, a craft, party necklaces, confetti, candy and more!

Visit the museum on December 31 to see the Jim Henson Exhibition, participate in a scavenger hunt to find Sesame Street characters scattered throughout the museum and get a free party sundae (while supplies last) at our Old-Fashioned Soda Fountain! Tag us (@TheDurhamMuseum) in your photos celebrating at home with your party-in-a-bag for a chance to win great prizes.

This activity is included with museum admission but requires advanced timed entry reservations. Space is limited! Each person must reserve or buy a ticket in advance online or over the phone, including children and museum members. This allows us to safely welcome guests and keep within our guidelines for capacity of our venue.

Christmas at Union Station presented by FNBO is sponsored by Conagra Brands Foundation, Union Pacific, Mangelsen’s, OPPD and Oriental Trading Company. Special thanks to Norm’s Door Service, Terry Hughes Tree Service, Omaha Police Department and Duke Aerial. Media support provided by KETV.
