Don your best plaid, grab a few friends and join the Durham Museum’s On Track Guild for a wonderful time of food and shopping that is sure to put you in the holiday spirit! On Sunday, November 19, enjoy the festive Great Hall while munching on tasty hors d’oeuvres and shopping local vendors from 6-9PM. On Monday, November 20, the same vendors and the museum’s signature Christmas tree will lure you to shopping and luncheon from 10:30AM-Noon. You can choose to attend one or both time slots.

Our Monday luncheon speaker is Katie Laughridge, the new steward of Nell Hill’s, Kansas City’s home decor, furnishings, fabric and home and garden accents destination. One of today’s most sought-after lifestyle resources, Katie is the author of the weekly decorating blog “Style at Home” and a column syndicated weekly throughout the United States. Her favorite place to be is at Nell Hill’s, working with customers to help them create homes that are lovely and livable, and that celebrate their own style. As an added bonus, Coming Home for the Holiday attendees will be among the first to see the much-anticipated White Christmas – The Exhibition.

Each ornament is a piece of art that will be handed down for generations. The On Track Guild’s unique ornament is a 5-inch-tall, hand-blown glass Christmas tree adorned with buffalo plaid decorations and white trim. You have the opportunity to place your order now and pick up your ornament at the Holiday Luncheon and Market event at The Durham Museum.

Each ornament is $100, which includes tax. Be sure to order quickly; only 100 ornaments will be available for purchase.
