Community Free Day**SOLD OUT** Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Free Day
Monday, January 18, 2021

The Durham Museum is proud to offer free admission to the community on Monday, January 18. Join the museum as we highlight MLK’s legacy and message of peace, tolerance, community service, and an inclusive, hopeful future for all. The museum will be open from 10AM-4PM (the last timeslot for entry in is at 2:30PM).

In addition to the museum’s permanent exhibitions, we will have special activities for families to commemorate this important day:

  • An interactive scavenger hunt
  • View a screening of the famous “I Have a Dream” speech
  • Contribute to a community art project
  • Have a chance to enter to win a museum membership for the year
Because capacity is limited, we ask that members and frequent visitors consider allowing those who may not otherwise be able to visit the museum to enjoy this opportunity.

As a reminder, guests are required to wear face masks while visiting the museum, though optional for ages 4 and under.
