How can I talk to Santa?
Santa knows about COVID-19. He wants each of you to be safe. He wants to be safe and keep this sickness away from the North Pole where there have been no cases reported. Santa is pleased that the Durham Museum is taking care to give you an opportunity to visit with Santa and keep safe.
You can visit Santa’s “cabin” located inside the Truhlsen Lecture Hall and talk with him from a distance on one of our “old-fashioned telephones. Santa’s elves will be at the switchboard to make sure you get connected to the big guy himself. Then children have time to talk to Santa and tell him their wish list on their private phone call with the jolly old elf himself.
*Telephones will be disinfected after each call. Social distancing and masks are required inside the museum.
This activity is included with museum admission but requires timed entry reservations. Each person must reserve or buy a ticket in advance online or over the phone, including children and museum members. This allows us to safely welcome guests and keep within our guidelines for capacity of our venue. When you make your ticket purchase/reservation you are selecting your arrival time. You are welcome to see Santa at any time during your visit. If there is a wait time, we ask that you please keep 6’ apart from other parties of guests. Santa takes a break from Noon-1PM each day and from 3-5PM on Tuesdays. Please plan accordingly.
…and Rudolph too!
*Don’t forget! Santa’s reindeer join him Tuesday evenings and Sundays.
