The Durham Museum offers a variety of rental options for private or corporate functions and can accommodate groups of all sizes. From small meeting to corporate parties to wedding receptions, The Durham has a unique flavor and elegant setting for any occasion. Prices vary depending on time of rental and the space needed. All rentals include security and use of the parking plaza.
Create everlasting memories throughout this extraordinary setting. Guests can stroll through vivid exhibits and experience Omaha's Union Station first-hand. Rental of the whole building includes use of the Suzanne and Walter Scott Great Hall, Swanson Gallery, Trish and Dick Davidson Gallery, and all permanent galleries. Temporary exhibits in the Velde Hall of American History and the Stanley and Dorothy Truhlsen Lecture Hall are available for an additional security fee.
Suzanne and Walter Scott Great Hall
The Suzanne and Walter Scott Great Hall is the single largest room in the Museum. Guests will be surrounded by beauty and memories in this extravagant space. The Great Hall can accommodate up to 500 guests for a sit-down dinner or up to 800 for a cocktail reception. Rental includes the use of the Swanson Gallery.
Elegant and stylish, the former Unions Station's Hayden House Restaurant has beautifully restored architecture. The Swanson Gallery is the perfect choice for an evening event and can accommodate up to 250 guests. Rental includes the use of the Criss Conference Room and kitchenette areas. A dance floor (20'x20') is available for an additional fee.
Stanley and Dorothy Truhlsen Lecture Hall
This state-of-the-art lecture space is located on the Davidson Gallery level. It has great architectural features from the past, combined with modern decor. It can be used for speakers, presentations, music recitals, and concerts. It features theater-style seating with 256 seats with a private entrance. Technical support is available for an additional fee.
Trish and Dick Davidson Gallery
Formerly known as Track Level, this area provides a unique, historic experience for special events, where your guests can discover rich, cultural history in the permanent exhibits, and dine trackside! Seating is available for 150 guests for a sit-down dinner or 250 for a cocktail reception. Temporary exhibits and train cars are available for an additional fee.
Criss Conference Room
This room combines the functionality of a boardroom with the beauty of Union Station. It is available for breakfasts, luncheons, and meetings. The Criss is equipped with conference tables and chairs for seating up to 50 guests, video equipment, a kitchenette, and attached bathrooms.
It is located inside the Swanson Gallery. Dimensions: 24'W x 32'L.
